I was *that* close to installing vmware and put rh6.2 in it when I got
ahold of a friend here that got rpm3 installed (part of some old
experimentation on his debian box)! Yes! He's built packages for us.
They are on my ftp right now.

Thank you for your offering David. I'm glad that you didn't have to make
that sacrifice.
