Yes. The monopoly M$ don't give a crap about already used 3-letter
extension, and not too unfrequently they "reuse" extensions that has been in
use for decades by other programs. This has a real impact. Let me know if
you need a few examples.

With that in mind, I can't for my life see that they'd ever care about an
extension already used in a free software (in M$ wordbook that's "communism"
I believe) wordprocessor.
