I agree with this 110%. The only additional issue I think we should think about is whether we want to turn over much of our text layout to the excellent pango library, since that would give us all the benefits of freetype, with lots of additional benefits in i18n and rendering. -- sam th OpenPGP Key: CABD33FC "Oh yeah?
