Font Path Bug

Hi:

I'm using YellowDog Linux (Rome dist). When I startup AbiWord an error comes up regarding the font path. It explains most likely "You did not envoke AbiWord from the script" (terminal) but same thing happens if I type enter "AbiWord from the terminal. I've seen some really broken attempts to explain the solution.

Is the a solution?
