I also tried to install abisuite-0.7.12.i386.rpm on RedHat 6.2 and got:

glib >= 1.2.7 is needed by abisuite-0.7.12-1
RedHat 6.2 has versions glib-1.2.5-1 . This contradicts the README:

>or newer versions if available, as well as X11R6:
> gtk+-1.2.1-10.i386.rpm
> glib-1.2.1-2.i386.rpm
> libpng-1.0.3-2.i386.rpm
> zlib-1.1.3-5.i386.rpm

>environment, all the requisite libraries should already reside on your system
