Well, thanks for assuming that I haven't read the FAQ :-) I did, but switching to vi mode does not work for me. The FAQ tells me to modify KeyBindingsCycle="1" -- and then I am supposed to be able to use F12 for cycling between the modes. Sorry, it just doesn't work. The cursor movement does change a little like in vi (meanign hjkl$0), but anything but a few simple movements does not work (like deleting text or using v for selecting text or :%s/// for substitution).
