I've just installed abiword-fonts-1.0.0.1.noarch.rpm, abiword-gnome- 1.0.0.1.i686.rpm, abiword-clipart-1.0.0.1.noarch.rpm, abispell-pl-PL- 1.0.1.i386.rpm and some plugins on my RedHat 7.2 running Gnome (using GnoRPM, after uninstalling previous version of AbiWord).
When I start AbiWord it gives me a warning about 'not being able to add fonts', but I think that problem was already discussed and I should be able to fix it. ISO-8859-2 (Polish) characters are not displayed correctly in the main window, but they look correct in print preview and in print. I've had similar problems with other apps, so it is probably problem with X and Gnome configuration, not with Abiword. Spell checking for Polish language also works correctly. AbiWord is very nice piece of software, 95% of 'normal' users (as defined by Eric W. Sink in 'Linux on the Desktop: Making it Happen', read it at http://www.abisource.org/papers/wr_expo99.phtml{HYPERLINK "mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]"}) should be satisfied with the options it offers. Still, it will be hard to convince them - for a normal user text=Word.
