Hi there, as a long time user of Abiword I am looking for a little help. I have now downloaded version 1.0.1 which is working fine except for the following.
I have found that if I set the background to be anything except transparent I cannot print anything, at least all I get is a black page and not text. Perhaps the text is hidden behind the black ink, but anyway all I get is just a sheet of paper covered in black ink. I changed the background colour back to transparent and I can now print. Anyone else had this problem? I have created a template (normal.awt) and put it in the correct folder (~/.Abisuite/templates) and it all works except for the language setting. Every time I start a new document I get everything from the template as expected but the language is stubbornly set to English(US) which is not what I want. I have to keep changing it back to English(UK). Can anyone tell me how I can make this part of the template? I have tried creating normal.awt with the language set to UK but it doesn't seem to make any difference. It always reverts to US. Any help appreciated.
