Sure, we use bar code scanners all the time.  You will 
need to get the bar code fonts onto your machines, but then it is just a matter 
of reading the fonts.

First of all.. Hi People.. i'm new in this group..i have 
a question.. i want to create a database where i have all myitems of a 
warehouse..i want to implement a new inventory procedure where i can use 
abarcode scanner (Intermec 2410) that would compare the information 
onthe databasei would a Track number (this number is a unique number 
that anothersystem gives the item) and the location as the primery fiels to 
use!my question is!! can a scanner be used to interact with
