You could set it up so that Dlookup fills the value only if one doesn't exists,
and then you can manually write it with a new value. Just make sure that you
don't overwrite existing values.

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] DLookup - A default value that can be
overwritten

I am using DLookup on Form properties to pull through default values.
However, I need functionality where these default values can be
overwritten on a case by case basis.

e.g. selecting a Doctor would pull through their usual specialty.
However, occasionally one might need to overwrite that specialty in
individual cases. So that Dr X would normally default to Respiratory,
but may occasionally have his default changed when working in a
Coronary setting.

Any ideas on a method to achieve this would be welcome. Thanks.
