There are two mdbs that may help you with this:
I'm not sure if they're included in the files in this group, but you 
might be able to find them doing a google search.  They're called 
something like LogOutUsers.mdb and EnableUsersLogin.mdb.
Basically, there is a logout table where a flag gets set to true or 
false.  If you set the flag to true there is code attached to the 
front end that gives the user so many seconds to log out, or else 
the application.quit command occurs and their front-end closes, 
thereby getting rid of the lock file.  When you want the user to be 
able to use the database again, you set the flag back to normal.
