You don't need to decompile the report. When you have it open in design view, you should be able to at the list of control on the formatting toolbar, select the one named total and it will be activated on the report.

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] Decompiling a report
Importance: Low

I have a report (that I've been given) that has a field in the header
with a value of =total

This somehow gets calculated from rows in the body of the report, but
I cannot find anywhere where is it created. The report is based on a
query, and it's not part of that, there does not seem to be any
controls that have code associated with them.

Is there any way of decompiling the report to see where this is
calculated?

Regards
Pete
