Just a brief follow up for posterity.... Unfortunately, the user is now reporting that the problem no longer exists. The bridge shows up as enabled.
No changes were made at the server side and the user (a technical user) reports that no changes were done at the client side either - so not much I can do to track down what changed. If the problem reoccurs, I'll follow up. Thanks for all of the suggestions. Todd
