I think i've another problem with regards to AccessGrid 3.1 , the new problem
is that basic VideoConsumerService failed to start on the sender machine and
can not know why , but i've traced the venueclient log , and noticed there that
there is something wrong which i can not figure out how to solve it , here is
the debug info :

http://pastebin.com/maa3bf08

the log shows that the service was about to start automatically but for some
reasons it failed , i tried also to start it from AccessGrid node management
menu , but a pop-up message appeared containing the same error message :

   Add Servicd Failed : VidoeConsumerService

any workaround to solve this problem ?

   Regards

   Muhammad

      muhammad,

3.2-Beta! I wish I had noticed that earlier! Yes, definitely stay away
from that.
There are known problems both with DVTS (and H264) in the beta.

Now that you've discovered that, I have to say I have never seen the kind
of
artifacts that you show us in your DVTS image.

I'm connected to your sever now but I guess you must have turned off your
stream. I will check it again later.

Also, you should check trying to receive an external stream as well. If
you go
      to the RIT Venue at
https://vv3.mcs.anl.gov:8000/Venues/8cdd226521d429b68e7e8c0158a6a663
there should be several DVTS streams available.

As John said in an earlier email, make sure multicast is working (there
are
independent ways to test that). But it looks like something in your
machine
      or local network possibly.

         hi Gurcharan, John
Firstly appreciated your help both , I think now the problem has
taken another curve , i mean i've downgraded AccessGrid version from 3.2-Beta
to AccessGrid 3.1 stable release ( also using the easyinstaller package) , and
as i previously did , i've configured AccessGrid on the sender Pc to use the
ExtendedVideoProducerService and again i can see my video signal fine without
any problem
Now at the receiver Pc , I've configured it to use the
ExtendedVideoConsumerService and now it pops up the DVTS screen and I can see
the stream sent by my sender pc , and did as Gurcharan said , that I clicked on
each of those text lines and the DVTS window was brought up with the following
problem within it :
          http://muhammad.akl.googlepages.com/19072009367.jpg
As you can see the video is corrupted and is not clear , what can
cause this problem ?

Muhammad, on Monday I can put up a DVTS stream into a lobby (let

            Confirm you have multicast working...

It’s not clear from you on the display (receiver) machine if DVTS
is starting, if you’re getting errors, etc. Is it starting but not
showing anything? Can you confirm the multicast addresses
involved? Are you getting “video” but it’s black for example?

            hi Gurcharan,
well, the problem mainly is that i'm unable to receive my video
signal at the receiver side , which actually i can see it via DVTS
            program at the sending side
let's explain my setup in more details , i've two pcs their
specs
            as follows :
                Sender PC
                OS : Windows XP SP3
AccessGrid Ver : 3.2 Beta version ( All in one Installer made by
            http://www.hitlabnz.org/wiki/Access_Grid_-_Easy_Installer)
Processor: Intel core 2 duo 2.3 GHZ
                Ram : 2 GB
VGA Card : Nvidia 8400 GS ( Driver installed via nvidia website
)
                Ethernet Type : Gigabit ethernet
Firewire ports : External Pci card has two IEEE-1394 ports
                Input Camera : Sony DCR-TRV285E
                Receiver PC
            OS : Windows XP SP3
AccessGrid Ver : 3.2 Beta version ( All in one Installer made by
            http://www.hitlabnz.org/wiki/Access_Grid_-_Easy_Installer)
                Processor : intel pentium D 3.4 GHZ
                Ram : 512 MB
VGA Card : Nvidia 8400 GS ( Driver installed via nvidia website
)
                Ethernet type : fast ethernet
Now , The sender Pc is configured to Start sending Digital
Video
via ExtendedVideoServiceProducer Option which is found in the
AccessGrid node management menu , that i've included during the
installation of AccessGrid , And at this time i can see my video
            signal via DVTS program
At the Receiver Side , I've started AccessGrid and configured It
to use The ExtendedVideoConsumerService from AccessGrid node
Management menu by adding a new service , and at this time i can
not see anything , and no error messages appeared
does my setup lacks something that's i've fogotten to do , or
does
i need much horse power for my PCS ?
if though , what are the necessary steps to be done to be able
to
send and/or receive dv/hdv on windows xp ?
                Regards

and i've added the extended video services during the
installation as I want to start sedning dv/hdv video via
                    firewire cameras ,
after i've joined the lobby , i've configured the

                    via the DVTS program ,

ExtendedVideoConsumerService ,I've tried several times to
enable and disable the service with no luck
Anyone had a previous experience on how to get dv/hdv
video on windows xp using this all in one (which includes
                    the DVTS ) ?
also anyone tried the enhanced vic that was made by
vislab team (chris willing ) on windows xp and successed
to integrate it with accessgrid ?
