So I was doing some more testing today. Here is where I am at. I can get the VideoConsumer Service to work but no VideoProducer. When I try switching to just VideoService on it's own, I get an error saying "Error enabling service".
But if I enable VideoConsumer service first, I can enable VideoService (I know it is redundant), but I still am unable to select my built in camera. If I try VideoProducer, I am not able to select my built in camera. I am able to see the other node's video. I am running it in a session with another AG node to see if there is any video coming through, and there is not. In case I am missing something in the start up, what is your usual sequence. I start the Service Manager, then Launch the Client. Any advice? My system specs are MBP 2.8 Core 2, OSX 10.5.6, AG 3.2 Thanks, Tyler On 21/03/09 3:56 PM, "Fred Dech" <fd...@uchicago.edu> wrote: > Tyler, > > i've been running 3.2 beta on my macbook pro for quite a while. > after some software updates a couple of months ago, my > VideoProducerService/VideoConsumerSerice configuration would no longer > show me my USB camera video stream. rather than checking the logs > and trying to figure out what was going wrong, i opted to try > removing the vid producer and consumer and added a VideoService. > i could see my video stream again. that's the configuration i'm > still running. i guess i should have filed a bug report. sorry, Tom. > > if you haven't tried VideoService already, you might wanna give it a go. > it works for me. > > --fred > > > On Fri, Mar 20, 2009 at 04:14PM, John I.
