I was getting this same error when opening VIC with the ATI x600P graphics card
I had set for video capture that I posted a message about yesterday afternoon.
My guess is this is some sort of generic error message in version 2.4 when
there is a severe start-up error. I do not believe a re-install will help. I
would try asking during a Thursday morning session with the developers.

Subject: [AG-TECH] Fwd: how do I fix this runtime error?

Hi All,

The following message was posted to ag-tech earlier this week and to date there
have been no replies. So I guess this means it's a new problem, or outside the
scope of this list. My plan is to reinstall the AG software and hope that fixes
the problem. What do you think?

thanks

Richard

Subject: how do I fix this runtime error?

   Hi All,

Last week while trying to connect to a venue I could see and hear everyone
but they could not see or hear me. Today I tried to test my node and connected
to the APAG lobby and the Argonne lobby. Each time I connected it appeared that
the same symptoms occurred and the following error was displayed:

   Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

   Runtime Error!

   Program: ...a\AccessGrid\local_services\VideoProducerService\vic.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.

   Can anyone help?

   Thanks

   Richard
