Dear all, I am a member of GIST NML ACE team. We are working on the Access Grid and we've just released 'AG Connector', a new multicast connectivity tool for AG that was presented at the Access Grid Retreat.
AG Connector uses UMTP to restore multicast connectivity in disjoint multicast networks. Each tunnel endpoint receives multicast data in its network and relays it to the other tunnel endpoint. The receiving tunnel endpoint re-multicasts relayed data locally. It consumes less network bandwidth and with AG Connector, vic and rat do not need to be restarted (as they do when using the integrated unicast support). For this release, AG Connector has been developed as a shared application. You can download the latest version from http://ace.netmedia.gist.ac.kr/AG_Connector/ <http://ace.netmedia.gist.ac.kr/AG_Connector/> It also includes instructions about installing and running AG Connector. AG Connector is still in development. It might have problems. Please try AG Connector and send me comments or bug reports. Any comments will be appreciated. Lastly, I should say thanks to Tom, Eric and Susanne of AG Team, Argonne National Laboratory for giving valuable comments and help during development. Thanks. - Namgon Kim (ng...@netmedia.gist.ac.kr) Networked Media Lab. GIST, Korea
