Are you sure that "Nothing" happens? Once it is installed, you need to click on the "Install Beacon Service (AutoStart)" link and then click on "Manually Start Beacon Service". There will be no output if all goes well. To see if the beacon is working, go to http://beacon.dast.nlanr.net/ and look down the page for your machine's DNS name and IP address. It may take a couple of minutes to appear. It should also appear under the link "Beacon Info" on this page. If this is still not working, you can go to "Control Panel" --> "Administrative Tools" --> "Event Viewer" and click on "Application" on the left. This should list any errors from the beacon.
