(replying to the original thread) Hi All, >From the guide dog programs I have read about, almost all have been residential programs with the dog owner having to stay in the training institute because they say that using a guide dog requires the dog owner to have almost as much training with that dog as the dog itself. The programs were about 21 weeks in duration and didn't take something like a year or two for a person to get a dog. What's the story with this person promising people trained dogs on certain dates? Is training the dog owners also a part of this deal? Does this guy have any kind of facility?
