Dear Friends, I have been following the thread about admission of a VH girl in IIM, Banglore and want the opinion of the members on the following hypothetical situation.
Suppose that a Management Institute has only a single seat reserved for the VH and more than one VH candidate is successful in clearing the entrance exam of the Institute. Also, two of the successful VH candidates have secured high enough marks that if they had not been blind, they could have secured admission in through the General List. Now, as only one seat is reserved for the VH, the VH candidate obtaining the highest marks gets the seat. But the second candidate with high enough marks to qualify through the General list also, what will happen to him? Can he be considered while giving admissions through the General category? Also, is there any legal precedent or CCPD order in this matter? Awaiting your replies.
