Hi friends,
Was recently reading about British World para-athletics sprint
champion Sophie Kamlish.
She didn't have a very happy school experience. She says- It wasn't
any one big thing, but hundreds of small insensitive comments that had
the potential of making one lose their self confidence. Most of the
times, it was really out of ignorance rather than being rude or nasty.
She says, disability is nothing that is bad or needs to be changed.
I really liked this thing she said, disability is another cool part of
the world.
She hopes things will change in British schools to give a level
playing field to the disabled.
Regards
Sandeep
