Dear Sir, A am a visually impaired customer of SBI and am using Internet banking independently for many years now. I had always appreciated and advocated regarding high degree of accessibility of SBI online website. Same has resulted in high degree of Financial independence to undertake various online transactions. Recent move of SBI to introduce visual capture has robbed me of this independence as I cannot undertake the transactions in an independent manner. Hon. PM of India had launched Sugamya Bharat Campaign (Accessible India Campaign) on 3rd Dec, 2015 to improve accessibility of various facet of life led by differently able persons. This campaign alongwith Digital India had one of the key focus on improving the accessibility of various websites and make them differently able friendly website. SBI being the flagship bank of India has always maintain high degree of responsibility towards its different categories of customers. I would urge you to remove the visual capture altogether. In case it is not possible to remove the same for security reasons then the option of OTP can be introduced. This option is currently being actively used by various websites (like IRCTC) to provide an alternate to visual capture.
