as a banker, i am expressing what i have observed friends. banks are not dictating which browsers we have to use. the software vendors do such things and without technical knowledge of web designing and security issues, we cannot say why software vendors are dictating banks. Microsoft wants its users to be pushed to edge so IE11 is not coming with proper updates. So, in my bank, finacle is working at IE11 with downward compatibility to IE9 but new packages for recovery, wealth solutions are working in chrome only or IE11 as lowest browser.
