Hi Sunil and others,
I have been aware about Audio description that netflix offers, and indeed
Netflix is the only OTT in India that bothers at all to provide us with
Audio description.
The audio description however isn't limited to only those series you have
pointed out, but almost all if not all the netflix originals has Audio
description. If the content is origenally in English, there will be Audio
description in English, If the content is was origenally in Hindi, it will
have Hindi Audio description. I.E Sacred Games.
I agree with your centiments and think that netflix ought to be encouraged
and applauded for its admirable efforts in the area where it stands out as
the only one to make its content inclusive for all.
We should also see if we can't get amazon to follow along, I highly doubt
it though, Amazon Prime US has Audio descriptions because they must by law,
however Amazon India prime as far as I can see does not, which is a bit
baffling, I mean if you have the AD tracks already, What's the harm in
deploying them elsewhere too.
If anything, that is likely to gain amazon prime more blind and visually
impaired users.
But of course, Corporates don't often do the sensable things.
 But I digress.

I hope we do reach out to netflix (all of us that use the service or
intend to) and tell them how great it is what they are doing and have done.
Laters,
