I would start first by checking the audio service; take help from a sighted person and ask them to play audio file to make sure that audio service is started and working.

If you have setup Windows startup sound, it will not play as well if there is a problem with the audio.

Thanks. Yes reparing/ reinstalling JAWS has not worked. Basis past

experiences I have not got any redressal through

[email protected]. And the customer service number has not

helped either. Any other way to contact?

Also,  interestingly when JAWS does not start, even NVDA also does not

get activated.

Any computer issue?
