I do not use any specific App on my windows10. I just go to the link web.whatsApp.com and all messages are downloaded. The first edit box is used to search for a specific chat. As you search for names, first few letters show all names associated with those letters. Enter on any name and you will reach on message box of that specific contact. Get up arrow for reading messages.
