Hi, Access Indians, This is a very personal thing but I don't have any other option but to ask this. I am a person with visual impairment; I have lost my vision at a later stage of my life. I am pursuing my post graduation at a reputed institution, I am good with technology, and I am independent also. But, when people come to see my elder brother for his arranged marriage and they get to know about me and my disability, they cancel the marriage with my brother. They think that I am a burden on my brother but I am an independent person and even I am studying on a 100% scholarship and that too with monthly stipent, and I will soon be getting a good job. They say that they don't want their daughter to do seva of me. My brother is does not have a disability, he looks good and ernes good as well. But because of me and my disability he is not getting married. If some one of you has faced this type of situation please suggest me what can I do now. Thank you. Cauvery Krishna.
