Wow! So this is formulated by Chat GPT, huh?
That bloody thing is really amazing! Perhaps off-topic for here, but I really
would like to understand how it formulates its responses: from search-engine
matches, or by its own learning and formulation of responses. I was told it’s
the latter, and if true this thing is really a work of genius!
I wonder what’s it’s ultimate objective programmed to be: Self-preservation?
Being the ultimate assistive tool to mankind? Or perhaps it is permitted to
determine it’s own ultimate objective for itself? That’s scary and Spooky!

Subject: [AI] Chat-gpt response on a query how to make a blind person
understand the concept of colours

Hi

An interesting response to the captioned query:

Understanding the concept of colors for a person who is blind from birth or has
severe visual impairments can be challenging. However, there are several ways
in which a blind person can comprehend colors:
1.
Associating colors with other sensory experiences: Colors can be associated
with sounds, tastes, textures, and smells. For example, red can be associated
with the taste of spicy food or the sound of a trumpet.
2.
Learning color names through verbal description: A sighted person can describe
colors to a blind person using words such as "red is warm like fire" or "blue
is cool like water."
3.
Touch-based systems: There are various touch-based systems, such as raised line
drawings, tactile graphics, and Braille labels, that can help a blind person
understand colors. These systems use different textures or shapes to represent
different colors.
4.
Technology: With the advancement of technology, there are now devices such as
color recognition apps, which can help a blind person identify colors. These
apps use a smartphone camera to detect and identify colors and announce them
through audio output.
Overall, understanding colors for a blind person may require creativity,
patience, and an openness to different ways of experiencing the world.
