Be warned, there are massive emotional challenges with being blind and if needed, get him psychological help. I do not know who would provide such assistance in India. Try the help line run by the score foundation. The NV access store has the definitive tutorials on NVDA. There are several YouTube videos on NVDA as well. Jaws has a massive amount of documentation too. What rank was this person in the navy? What is the status of his vision? Glaucoma can be usually arrested giving the sufferer some stability in vision.
