Hi, I was hired under the diversity programme in 2017 in cerner corporation India and lately the Cerner was acquired by oracle. Currently I am working as a program manager under the accessibility team.
still there are opportunities but The companies look for experienced candidates instead of freshers. And most of the companies looking for the international certifications such as trusted tester, c p a c c,. and many more. Most of the accessibility testers still relied on the free courses. companies don't wish to bear the expenses for visually impaired employees requirements such as work from home, traveling and many more. most of the challenged employees don't wish to re-locate and don’t wish to upgrade on there accessibility skills.
