Glad to share that I have got response from Microsoft on LinkedIn post and day before yesterday I did talk with another Microsoft employee who is Program Manager of Narrator. I have also got response on these feedbacks: 1. Missing Screen Curtain Feature: A screen curtain (screen hide) is a crucial privacy tool for visually impaired users but is not available in Narrator.
2. No Automatic Language Switching: Narrator cannot automatically switch between languages like English and Hindi on non-Microsoft platforms (e.g., YouTube or other web content), even if both language voices are installed. 3. Voice Output Speed: Voice output speed needs improvement to cater to visually impaired users who prefer fast TTS responses, similar to NVDA Espeak Synthesizer. 4. Lack of OCR and Image Description for Indian Languages: Narrator does not support inbuilt OCR and Image Description for any Indian language, including Hindi. 5. Reset Settings Feature: A reset option for Narrator settings is absent, limiting users’ ability to customize settings efficiently.
