NVS & Enable-India Invites You to India's first Financial Literacy Workshop exclusively for the Visually Impaired community : Are you sure you are spending and saving your money wisely? Almost 90% of people in our community are not using their money or financial options effectively, due to unawareness or accessibility challenges. To address this gap, for the first time in India, EnAble India and Non-Visual Solutions are jointly organizing a Financial Literacy Workshop designed especially for persons with Vision Impairment. This training program is designed to provide a simple and practical understanding of key financial sectors and their features, with a focus on screen reader-accessible options. The sessions will guide you in choosing the right ways to save or invest your money, based on your personal needs and financial capacity. Key Topics to be Covered in the Workshop: 1. Banking Made Simple - Learn about banking schemes, their benefits, and smart saving options. 2. UPI & Digital Payments - Hands-on knowledge of UPI apps, their important features, and how you can access them independently. 3. Taxation - General overview of tax rules, effective money planning, and step-by-step guidance on income tax. 4. Health & Pension Insurance - Schemes suitable for persons with disabilities, and hidden health insurance/pension benefits from public and private sectors. 5. Mutual Funds & Investments - Understand SIPs, SWPs, and mutual funds in simple, easy-to-follow terms. 6. Share Market Basics - How trading works, basic strategies, and how to participate using accessible platforms. 7. Cyber Safety - Practical tips to protect your money and stay safe from fraud. Each session will be directed by professionals, with screen reader demonstrations included wherever possible. Course Details: 1. Tentative Start Date: Saturday, 27th September 2025 2. Schedule: Every weekend (Saturday & Sunday) from 8 PM to 9 PM 3. Duration: Approximately 20 sessions 4. Language: English 5. Platform: Zoom Eligibility Criteria: 1. Must be a Vision Impairment person from India, and Age: 20 years or above 2. Strong commitment to attend every session on time 3.
