Yes. The Notification from the Railway Board seems to have not reached all
Offices in Railways. The portal too has not been updated or modified to
accept UDID as valid certificate for disability in place of Railway
Concession Certificate. The Railways personnel tell us that they need to
verify the authenticity of the disability with the doctors who certified
the disability. We argued with the local Railway officials in Hyderabad
that the UDID Card is issued after thorough investigation and
authentication and it should be valid nationwide and they should not insist
the disabled people to once again go and get the disability certificate.
But somehow the instruction or notification of the Railway Board has not
reached all railway offices who are supposed to issue E Card.

This needs to be brought to the notice of the officials concerned in the
Railway Board for giving clear instructions to accept UDID Card as valid
Disability Certificate.

Thanks,
