Good news! Samsung has released a new update for Samsung TalkBack directly
through the Galaxy Store. This update has fixed the issue where, when the
screen was hidden, explore-by-touch and some gestures were not working.
This is especially important because, for the first time, Samsung did not
make us wait for a One UI or security update to receive TalkBack
improvements. I hope other users who are using One UI 8.0 have also
received this update.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy A33 5G, and I feel it’s possible that in the
future, Samsung will continue providing direct updates for TalkBack through
the Galaxy Store, instead of waiting for major One UI or security updates.
This will help fix accessibility issues more quickly.
I have personally requested this change many times to Samsung senior
management, asking them to provide direct updates of Samsung TalkBack
instead of waiting for system updates — and it’s great to see that Samsung
has started doing this!

About 15 days ago, Samsung also released an update that fixed and improved
Samsung TTS (Text-to-Speech) for English (India) Voice 1 and Hindi (India)
Voice 1.
Earlier, these voices were very unclear — they used to switch between two
different voices while reading, which sounded confusing, and their response
speed was very slow. Now, both voices are much clearer, more consistent,
and faster. Of course, further improvements are still needed, but this
update is a big step forward.
I had raised this issue in a LinkedIn comment addressed to Samsung senior
executives, and surprisingly, within just two weeks, the improvement was
implemented. As I am saying this since a long time that when we share our
accessibility feedback directly with Samsung’s leadership, positive changes
are possible — and they are already happening gradually.
I kindly request everyone to share your Samsung Accessibility feedback
under the same Samsung post where I’ve commented and tagged the company’s
senior executives. Together, we can help make Samsung devices even more
accessible for everyone.
