A moment of honour, gratitude and renewed responsibility. *Shri Yajurvendra Mahajan*, Founder of *Deepstambh Foundation*, was conferred the *Padma Bhushan Anna Hazare Social Service Award* by respected *Anna Hazare ji* at Ralegan Siddhi.
This award is given through the fund created from the prize money received by Anna ji from various honours over the years. It was presented in recognition of Deepstambh Manobal’s contribution towards higher education and competitive examination training for students from *persons with disabilities, orphan and transgender backgrounds* across India. In keeping with Deepstambh’s inclusive tradition, Shri Yajurvendra Mahajan accepted this award along with *Rajendra Patil, Amol Lanke, Milind Awalgaonkar, Mahendra Patil, Divyang student Bapu Bhosale, and Ashlesha Amte*. As respected Anna ji steps into his 90th year, his life continues to be a guiding light for every social worker. Through sacrifice, service, restraint and relentless hard work, he has strengthened democracy and shown how one committed life can awaken an entire society. To honour the spirit of this recognition, Shri Yajurvendra Mahajan has donated the award amount of *₹2 lakh* towards the development of *Deepstambh Manobal Pune*. He dedicated this award to all those who have been guiding Deepstambh Foundation’s future expansion — *Shri Madhukar Kotwal, Shri Ajay Sathe, Dr. Alka Mandke, Shri Pukhraj Pagaria, Shri M. K. Satya, Shri Sudhir Varde, Shri Deepak Shah, Shri Sunil Bhokare, Shri Prashant Deshpande, Shri Bharat Amalkar, Suhas Kulkarni, Shri Ravi, Shri Sharad Mahajan*, and all members of the Advisory Committee.
