Well I use iPhone16E and iOS 26.5. Will be ordering some stuff tomorrow morning. Will share if there are challenges.

I have been experiencing these issues for more than a week now. Unfortunately, I have not had the time to document them in detail with screen recordings and step-by-step reproduction notes. Here are some of the issues I am consistently encountering with VoiceOver on iOS: 1. On the checkout screen, the items added to the cart are announced as "N/A". VoiceOver does not read the item name, quantity, or price, making it difficult to verify the order before payment. 2. The button used to select the delivery address is unlabeled. VoiceOver simply announces it as "Button". From experience and memory, I know this is where the address is selected, but the control itself provides no indication of its purpose. Also, I am not sure why the address needs to be reselected each time instead of allowing a default address to remain selected. 3. A similar issue exists with the payment method selector. The control is unlabeled and does not announce which payment mode is currently selected. In my case, I know Google Pay is usually the default option, but the application does not communicate that information to VoiceOver users. 4. Before payment is completed, I would expect the application to clearly announce the total payable amount, including a breakdown of item value, delivery charges, handling charges, discounts, and any other applicable fees. Currently, I am unable to reliably confirm these details independently. It is possible that these issues may not be affecting all users, devices, app versions, locations, or account configurations. However, the above has been my recent experience and has made the checkout process significantly more difficult than it used to be. What is particularly disappointing is that several workflows that previously worked well now appear to have regressed. Tasks that were once straightforward have become difficult, confusing, and in some cases impossible to complete independently. Some of the issues observed include: • Items on the checkout/cart screen are not being read properly by VoiceOver. • The address selector control appears to be unlabeled. • The total payable amount is not announced before making the payment. • Payment method selection controls are unlabeled, making it difficult to know which payment option is being chosen. For a blind user, this creates significant barriers during the final stages of a purchase. Ordering groceries should not require guesswork or repeated assistance from sighted users. What concerns me most is the apparent regression. Accessibility defects are frustrating, but accessibility features that previously worked and are later broken can be even more discouraging. End users often do not have the time, energy, or patience to repeatedly report the same issues, follow up with support teams, and wait for fixes. I am sharing this with the community both as feedback and to understand whether other VoiceOver users are facing similar challenges with the latest versions of the app. Warm regards, Mister Kayne <https://www.blogger.com/profile/04580049257592982490> Author: The Somebody, Nobody, Anybody <https://www.mister-kayne.com/> & Everybody Blog!
