Hello,

Suppose, you want each paragraph to have a blank line before and after it.
But there are unnecessary blank lines in between. In that case, you can use
the ^p (CaretP) code in the Replace dialogue box. Follow these steps:
1. Press ctrl+h to activate the Find and Replace dialogue box in ms word.

2. In the find what edit field, type ^p^p^p.

3. In the replace with edit box, type ^p^p.

4. Now press alt+a to activate the Replace all option.

5. Word should announce how many replacements it has made. Continue pressing
alt+a to activate the Replace all choice until word announces that it has
made 0 replacement.

Once word fails to find 3 blank line symbols, you can be sure that there are
no more unwanted blank lines. Each blank line is marked by a ^p symbol. Once
you do it, the logic will be clear.

Hope, this helps.

Best regards,

Amiyo.
