I think the problem's not with Jaws. The problem's not with the operating system either. The problem is, she would have forgotten to turn off the touch pad button. Accidentally brushing your hand across the touch pad can cause your computer to return to desktop or taskbar region. So just tell her to turn off the touch pad button when she's actually not using it.
