Hi, What subjects are we talking about? A lot depends on the structure of the document. If the text you are trying to cram is split into points, you could read say five or 10 points at any time and then, try and remember them. Once you are sure you had mastered the key ideas behind those points, you could move to the next heading.
Of course, this may not work if you are studying something like law where, you probably need to memorise this aggregated data such as section numbers. What do your classmates do?
