I think it can be changed by going to the date and time settings. For vista,
one should go to the internet time tab and uncheck the box "synchronize with
an internet server". The same function is certainly there in XP pro, but I
think it is not under internet tab. Perhaps under synchronize tab or
something. Haven't used XP for a while and henceforth don't remember the
exact tab.
