Probably it is functioning, but I am sure most of the good work and enthusiasm may have gone with Prof. I. E. Daniel who looked after it during my students day. He was so good that he would arrange scribes for about 30 VI students for internal (monthly) and semester exams and also arranged readers and distributed tape recorders and cassettes etc. He was a great leader for most of us. We could even ask advice on certain personal matters and his doors were always open. I am sure it's rare to find a replacement for him (I believed he quit the post some years back).
