Ketan,
Not sure if you have tried plugging into other USB ports of your computer. Same problem happened to me a little while ago and by plugging into another port has solved my problem.

Regards,

Subject: [AI] inability to detect an external disk

Hi,

I have an external disk which I connect to my computer through an USB cord. When I connect it through power/data cord it is on as I can feel the vibration but it is not detect, I can hear click or tin noise but it is not detected. If I connect only through power cord again it is not detected but I can hear the noise. I did rescan disk but no result. The same disk is detected on other machines. Please help fast. Thank you
