Hi sir,boot your pc or laptop and connect the external disk with it. Try to
listen the sound from the external disk after attaching with the PC, if you
don't listen any sound means, most probably, the connecting cable, which is
used to connect the external disk with the PC or Laptop has got damaged. It
can be purchased from the market but I advise you for the purchasing a
similar cable, you have to carry the old one with you to show the
