Details: Mitra Jyothi conducts independent living skills training programme for visually challenged ladies in the age group of 18 to 35 years at their training centre in Bangalore. It is a residential training programme amed at making the trainees self reliant and independent. This is a six month course and would cover the following: 1. Home management (include personal grooming, cooking, house keeping, gardening, etc). 2. Personality development programme. (include lectures on social and legal awareness, health and hygiene, etc). 3. Handicrafts (include basket making, knitting, etc). 4. Mobility training and orientation. Please note: The training is entirely free of cost and would include boarding and lodging facilities as well.
