Though, some of the jaws disadvantages may include, but not limited to: •being a commercial screen reader, not all blind users could afford buying, and upgrading it over their machines due to its critical price. •necessity to run with administrative privelages to install jaws on any machine. •using a video intercept driver which requires a proper stable VGA driver to be installed before hand so that jaws could work properly. •technical problems like installation of the microsoft visual C++ redistributable package resulting machine hanging when not addressed properly or when a non microsoft visual C++ java applications conflicts it. •included older jaws scripts for earlier versions of the mentioned supported programs such as the old scripts for SPSS 9.0, though the program is now in its version 15 or higher. •and much more. 6.
