Dear friends, *Subject: Delhi State Competition for the visually challenged*. The Social Service League of St. Stephen's College is organizing '*Drishtikon', *Delhi State Competition for the visually challenged in collaboration with the Blind Relief Association, Delhi. The competition will be held on the *18th of February, 2009*, at the St. Stephen's College Hall from 2 pm in the afternoon to 6 pm in the evening. Participants will be awarded participation certificates and winners will receive merit certificates. The following competitions will be held: * Talent Show. Just A Minute (JAM). Quiz Competition*. There will be two rounds of the quiz. The first round will start at three pm sharp and will continue till four pm. The second round will start at five pm. The teams have to comprise of three members each and the winners of the first round will advance to the second round. Participants are requested to assemble half an hour before the event. The teams will be representing their respective colleges and only one team from each college can participate. * Prizes: * First: Cash prize (team), certificates and shield (running). Second: Cash prize and certificates. Third: Cash prize and certificates. * The Talent Show: * Venue: College Hall. The Talent show will start at 2 pm sharp and will be held in the college hall. There is no restriction on the talent showcased. You can sing, dance, recite poems or any events likewise. Participants must compete individually and will be allowed five minutes to showcase their talent. A buzzer will be sounded after which any performance will be penalized. In order to facilitate their respective shows, they are requested to inform the coordinators four days in advance. Any specific materials required for the event must be brought by the participants themselves. * Prizes: * First: 2 GB MP3 player, Braille watch, trophy and certificate. Second: 1 GB MP3 player and certificate. Third: Braille watch and certificate. * Just A Minute (JAM): * Venue: Seminar Room. The JAM will start at four pm and will continue till five pm. Participants will compete individually and will choose their topics fifteen minutes before their turn. Hence the participants are requested to assemble at least half an hour before the event. * Prizes: * First: 2 GB MP3 player, Braille watch, trophy and certificate.
