>From the site: Media Keyboard 2 Media Player (MK2MP) Media Keyboard 2 Media Player gives some media players multimedia keyboard ability, which previously did not have such support, such as the play/pause button, next and previous buttons on multimedia keyboards.
Media Keyboard 2 Media Player intercepts the key presses of your modern multimedia keyboard keys and then sends the appropriate hotkeys to your (supported) media player. This program is in beta at this time. If you have any problems with this program, please email me at the email address noted in the readme.txt file, or use the support form located here on my website. NOTE: If you change the hotkeys for one of the media players listed, Media Keyboard 2 Media Player will no longer work for that media player. So if you wish to use this, please leave the hotkeys at default settings for your media player. SUPPORTED CURRENT MEDIA PLAYERS: · Xion (100% supported on version 1.0 of player) · XMPlay (100% supported on version 3.4.2.1 of player) · VLC Media Player (100% supported on version 0.8.6i of player) · 1BY1 (See note 2) (tested on version 1.64 of player) SUPPORTED HISTORICAL MEDIA PLAYERS: · Winamp Classic (See note 1) (tested on version 2.91 of player) · Zinf (See note 1) (tested on version 2.2.1 of player) · Freeamp (See note 1) (tested on version 2.0.8 of player) * Note 1: Single click Play button to pause, double click to unpause. * Note 2: If you change your playlist, pressing the play/pause media button will not start playing a song in the new list. To start the new playlist, double click the play/pause media button. * Note General: Some of the media players like to come into focus when the hotkeys are pressed which may cause you to lose focus in another active window that you may be using at the time. * Why notes 1 and 2 above: The reason for the extra steps to do all the functions for the media keys is that not all of the players listed had proper support for the basic features. While players like Xion have the proper support, in that a single button/hotkey works as the play, pause and unpause functions. The noted players for notes 1 and 2 did not exactly meet up with that ability and required an extra step to use the media keys. Typically they had a seperate play and pause hotkey with no quick and simple way to determine if the player is already playing a song or not. * Adding players to the support list: Feel free to suggest a player to add to thesupported players list if they do not already have media key support. Please do not suggest Coolplayer though as I have already tried working with it. It's hotkey support is odd and I am unable to get consistant results trying to control it. So Coolplayer support was pulled from the source code. http://www.paraboliclogic.com/programs/mk2mp/index.html Regards To unsubscribe send a message to [email protected] with the subject unsubscribe.
