Sorry for a very late response to this.

In order to do this, technically, you need to use a SMSC port (SMPP port).
The SMS protocol (SS7) on GSM allows a SMS to be masked with a 11 character
Alpha-numeric text.

To do this practically, there are various Bulk SMS service providers (web
based as well as Desktop based).

I currently use a services named smslive (www.smslive.in)

Do remember the TEXT comes only on a GSM number since CDMA does not uses the
SS7 protocol, hence it does not supports the masking.

Further, in order to identiy the sender, TRAI from 1st Feb 2009 have made it
mandatory for all telco's to PREFIX a 3 letter. The first letter tells you
from which network ( say L for BPL, A for Airtel, V for Vodaphone n
henceforth) the SMS have originated from. The 2nd letter tells the
city/circle whose SMSC have been used. 3rd is just a hyphen.

Hope this clarifies.
