Hi Rightly said by Joerge sir. Sometimes English on our list is so poor that we aren't even able to understand the essence of the mail.
But we have to accept the fact that for most Indians, English is still a subject in which we have to get good marks and not a language. Especially in semiurban and rural areas, we hardly speak English. But that's only an excuse and shouldn't be a hurdle in learning English. Personally I have learnt so much English after subscribing to Access India. I have learnt many new words along with their usage by reading mails by persons like Rajesh sir, Harish sir, Subramani sir, Geetha madam etc. But, I'm afraid, if one starts correcting and teaching English on the list, then the original essence of a mail would be lost. Moreover, English has no universally accepted standards, it is used by many in many ways. If we feel we can better our English skills, we can start a new group for learning English and let the interested learners and teachers subscribe to it.
