Dear Sir,
This is to inform you all that the convention of the audio magazine
'listeners' club' was held at the BPA, Ahmedabad on 17th August, 2009.
There were speeches of two well-known teachers of English here in
Gujarat--Dipti Shah and Mr Narendra Pandya. There were really excellent.
We all appreciated very much the excellent contribution of Mrs Tina
Parekh. It is quite clear that it is only she who single-handedly runs
the
magazine.
Dear Sir,
Let me tell you that the magazine can be received in a CD every month on
the payment of Rs120 as the annual subscription to the BPA. Mr Ranchhod
Soni is the co-editor and manages all the matters regarding this
magazine.
You can contact him on: 9925450866.
With a lot of thanks.

I would like to commend the effort of BPA Ahmedabad, in producing such a
good magazine. The purpose is to promote learning of English, but it
seems
to be doing more than that. One may get an idea from the table of
contents
of the August issue.
Along with many of these stories, word meanings are also given.
1 Editors notes, Contents and Messages from readers and contributers
2 Quotes,quiz, and interesting facts
3 Bio of michael Jackson
4 Unsung heroes: Stories of cycle race champion Lance Armstrong who
inspite
of cancer continued cycling, and Nick Vujicic who was born without limbs.
5 Environmental issues
6 Classic tales: The shelter by R.K. Narayan and couple of more stories
7 Inspiring stories: a story about contentment and another about peace
and
yet another about a man who could not get admission in Visvesvaraya
National
Institute of Technology, Nagpur.
8 Learning english
9 Q&A
10 Health plus
11 Anecdotes: from the lives of famous people, George Bernard Shaw, Harry
Truman, Ramkrishna Paramhans, Sister Leocadia, and Abraham Lincoln.
12 Poems
13 Jokes
14 Answer of quiz
15 Stories that stir
16 Travel world
17 Abbreviations
18 The play: Tansen the great musician
19 Ronald Reagan speech: a time for choosing
